Poor supermodels. No matter how fresh and fabulous they are, there’s always some younger, cuter girl standing in their way. But for the love of God, Lily Cole, you didn’t have to knock the kid down! The scarlet-haired model was ice-skating at London’s Somerset House when she collided with a little girl who was left down for the count, the paper reports. After reportedly making sure that the girl was okay, Cole and her pals glided off, leaving the still-on-the-ground tyke cooling her buns. Ruthless! We haven’t seen that kind of ice-skating action since Tonya Harding laid eyes on Nancy Kerrigan. Clumsy catwalkers are all over the place! Check out this model tumble at Milan Fashion Week.

Newsweek editor Jon Meacham is defending his magazine’s decision to put a running shorts-clad photo of Sarah Palin on the cover. Relatedly, Andrea Mitchell is mildly embarrassed that she only has older white men to ask about this stuff. Meacham tells Politico’s Michael Calderone, “We chose the most interesting image available to us to illustrate the theme of the cover, which is what we always try to do. We apply the same test to photographs of [...]
Yes, right now everyone is pissed off at Richard Heene, the man behind the Balloon Boy hoax, but there are some people whose need for fame has ended in with much worse collateral damage—including death. Yes, setting loose a balloon, captivating the media and the public, causing taxpayer money to be spent on a false rescue attempt, and ruining your family are all pretty crappy, but they’re not as bad as some of these other people. And while [...]
