Well, sure. He’s going to be losing a lot of tourism when her ass leaves town!

Chicago’s Mayor, like so many housewives in America, is saddened to learn that his goldmine of a TV icon is hightailing it out of Chicago. Oprah Winfrey and the Windy city have become synonymous and with that, it has improved Chicago’s image.

But with her exit from the show, Mayor Daley is looking to point fingers and he’s found his target – the media.

He cites the uproar the city made when Oprah closed down a major intersection for the season premiere of her show.

Mayor Daley says:

“That became a big rhubarb in the Chicago press — beat up Oprah. So you keep kicking people, people will leave, simple as that…I’m just saying that when someone’s doing something like that, most cities would love it. It’s just amazing. I don’t know why it became so controversial.”

We don’t either, but we also don’t think it has anything to do with why she is leaving. She’s Oprah, man! She could buy and sell every paper in Chicago.

She doesn’t sweat them!
